Hi there, I'm Cobus Louw, but you can just call me Louw. Currently I am a pastor on note at Phalaborwa Methodist Church and for my local district circuit. I start my seminary studies hopefully in November for a Bachelors in Theology. I am a professional soldier by profession and though I was raised Methodist, I was rejuvenated last year Aug whilst on deployment in DRC. I started witnessing to fellow soldiers, started preaching and teaching at our military Church with a mixed denomination congregation. I have been deployed various times in combat operations in my career and I have experienced and seen with my own eyes God's Hand move in motion even in regard to myself. When I came back home I was asked to give Word and though my heart was to be a evangelist I have been called to be a pastor. I live for God wholistically and utterly in love with him as His son, I do my best to be a good and faithful servant, I have walked a life of many experiences from dealing with drugs to give to arresting criminals and failed marriages ive been through hell and back and it's armed me with testimony and understanding. I am a strong follower and scholar of the greats like John Wesley, Spurgeon, R.C Sprawl, John Mc Arthur, Paul washer, Billy Graham etc. Down to the teachings of St Augustine. I am in a sense a reformer at heart with the plea of the world turning back to God, I am a firm believer in Sola Scriptura and I do feel that many don't understand that the Methodist way of Prima Scriptura is one in the same. I feel the Word must be delivered Holy, purely and boldly. It requires nothing added or taken away and I do stand against false teachings and teachers, bad Theology and eschatology and I do feel that "the people will perish for lack of knowledge" because we don't teach enough hermanutics. Other than that I am a young shepard and I know I will make mistakes but I do know that no matter what my goal remains to bring glory to God at all times. As a soldier for me Isiah 6 was my moment, and on my knees I said "here I am, send me". So I'm out here doing my instruction Math 28:19. Hope to gain many brothers and sisters on my journey and hope we will uplift, teach, correct each other, for iron sharpens iron. Stay blessed and go with God.
