From Sarah Wanck: I’m writing this from 10,000 feet in the air—somewhere above Kentucky—wiping away tears with a complimentary napkin. I didn’t plan to share this, but I can’t keep it to myself. I’ve just returned from Cuba, where I witnessed something I can’t stop thinking about: a church alive with the Spirit, a people overflowing with joy despite hardship, and a taste of the Kingdom that left me undone. Honestly, I tried not to weep. But the memories—the prayers, the radical hospitality, the deep communion in the Spirit—kept rushing back. And I couldn’t help but wonder: Are we missing something? I wrote down my thoughts while still in the air, heart full and undone. I hope you’ll take a few minutes to read them. Maybe you’ll see what I saw. Maybe you’ll feel the pull I’m feeling. Maybe, like me, you’ll wonder what it would take for us to experience the fullness of the Kingdom right where we are.
